Our Mission
The mission of the Kansas Nurses Foundation (KNF) is to advance the nursing profession by supporting career development of Kansas nurses.
Our Purpose
-
Receive and manage funds derived from multiple sources, such as memorials, gifts, grants, and contributions; and,
-
Apply the income via grants, or scholarships to individuals, organizations, and institutions engaged in and supporting the following activities in Kansas:

Nursing education,

Scientific activities/research, and
-
Special projects in Kansas, as approved by the KNF Governing Board.

Leadership
​The KNF Board of Trustees is comprised of elected members, licensed registered Kansas nurses and public members. The Governing Board includes the trustees and representatives who adhere to KNF bylaws as well as policies and procedures while executing its responsibilities germane to s501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
Scholarship Application
KNF offers numerous scholarship opportunities on an annual basis. Amounts vary and not all scholarships are available every year.

KNF will begin accepting student scholarship applications for the 2026-2027 school year starting January 1st, 2026 through April 30th, 2026.
